While The Hounds of Soul is a hard-driving, highly talented band based in State College, Pennsylvania, the members have been making music for a long time. "This is the band I've always wanted," says founder of the group, Sherri Orlofsky. "Whenever I'd see a horn-centric band perform, I'd tell myself that someday I would gather a supergroup of the best musicians I could find."

Whether you need music for a wedding, corporate event, festival, private party, theater event...whatever your reason...our aim is to please, entertain, and make your event one that you and your guests will enjoy and remember fondly.

While our emphasis is on soul, funk, Motown, and music that moves you, we can add swing, traditional standards, and a variety of songs tailored to your liking. Our horn section (the'bling' of the band) includes a trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, and a variety of saxophones. Drums, keyboards, bass guitar, electric guitar, and other percussion fill out the rhythm section, along with some dynamic vocals and harmonies.
